At the end of February, Giuseppe Ghidini met the students of SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design, attending the course “Elements of Space Making” within the Master of Arts in Interior Design, taught by Associates Architecture.
The Vice President, supporting the theme “From ordinary to extra-ordinary”, recounted the story of a company that has pushed design beyond its limits thanks to its deep knowledge of metals and their processing, making every object and every product truly out of the ordinary. It is a journey in which poetry and imagination are enhanced by high-level manufacturing skills, and in which each single piece also expresses the soul of each of the many signatures of international design that collaborate with the brand.
Giuseppe Ghidini stated: “I gladly accepted the invitation from Associates Architecture to present our company. Engaging with future generations is always a source of new energy and helps us see things through different eyes. My thanks therefore for this invitation from what I consider to be one of the most interesting architecture studios on the current scene. A laboratory where practice meets architecture and craftsmanship, as is our style.”
Ghidini1961 follows with great interest the work of Associates Architecture, whose projects stem from a strong concept and a careful interpretation of the physical and cultural context. For this reason, Nicolò Galeazzi and Martina Salvaneschi, together with their team, accompany each project with a tailor-made process, based on research and attentive listening, until they translate the identity of places into architectures capable of engaging in dialogue with those who inhabit them.
It is within this harmony between vision, material, and know-how that the meeting with SPD students takes place, as an opportunity for dialogue and exchange.
Associates Architecture

Associates Architecture is an architecture and research studio founded in Brescia in 2017 and led by the Italian–South African duo Nicolò Galeazzi (Brescia, 1987) and Martina Salvaneschi (Johannesburg, 1989). The studio works in the field of architecture at different scales and has completed projects in Brazil, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Portugal.
Associates Architecture has been invited to take part in the 16th and 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, within the Italian Pavilions Arcipelago Italia and Comunità Resilienti; the 12th São Paulo Architecture Biennale Todo dia/Everyday; the 5th Lisbon Architecture Triennale in the exhibition Economy of Means; and the exhibitions 10 Architetture Italiane and Premio Italiano di Architettura 2023 and 2025 at the Triennale di Milano.
The studio has also been invited to give lectures and hold visiting professorships at leading Italian and European universities, and has received major national and international awards and recognitions.
Associates Architecture is conceived as a laboratory where practice meets architecture and craftsmanship. The studio is guided by a method that seeks the idea before things, starting from an in-depth study and understanding of the physical and cultural context in which it is called to operate. Each project takes shape through a patient, tailor-made process, driven by the search for an architecture capable of expressing the identity of the places with which it interacts.
