At Salone del Mobile 2026, Ghidini1961 unveiled its latest furniture and lighting collections in “The Suite”, an immersive installation that reinterpreted contemporary living through a dreamlike and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Conceived and curated by architect Lucia Valzelli, the space was designed as an imaginary, timeless and sophisticated hotel suite, the ideal stage for the brand’s new designs.
Inspired by the Mediterranean and neoclassical mood of the Grand Tour, the installation did not quote a specific architectural style, but rather explored a palette of suggestions. Colors, materials and surfaces worked together to create a warm, tactile and highly decorative environment that reflects the identity of Ghidini1961 and its vision of Italian design.
At the entrance, visitors were welcomed by a selection of new pieces designed by Lorenza Bozzoli: the Settebello sofa, with generous proportions and textile upholstery; the Ypsilon suspension lamp; the Cono side tables with mirrored tops; and Cards, a collection of low tables and consoles in marbles with a strong personality.
In the second room, the focus was on Lancillotto, the new table by Paolo Rizzatto, multiple Compasso d’Oro award-winning designer. Sculptural and imposing, Lancillotto expresses the author’s design research and expands the series of tables recently introduced by Ghidini1961. Also by Paolo Rizzatto, the installation featured Unduetre, a table and floor lamp conceived as a true sculptural object, and Katana, a family of seats already in the collection and now extended with new generous silhouettes.
The third room hosted some of the brand’s best-selling pieces, updated with new upholstery designed to enhance the lines of the Abbracci bed and the Mambo sofa, both signed by Lorenza Bozzoli.
The narrative path of “The Suite” concluded with Tria, the table by Lorenza Bozzoli presented in 2026 in a new round version, illuminated by the Dash suspension lamp by Johanna Grawunder, here shown in an original hexagonal configuration.
Completing the spaces was a selection of accessories, including the recent Lucky coat stand designed by Richard Hutten, which added a playful and distinctive note to the setting.
With “The Suite” at Salone del Mobile 2026, Ghidini1961 confirms its ability to create narrative interiors where furniture, art and material enter into harmonious dialogue. A contemporary vision of living that brings together elegance, Italian craftsmanship and a continuous drive toward experimentation.
