To start with, you might think why we called this family of mirrors, The Gioiello?
Well, in Italian, Gioiello, literally means jewels or jewelry, and in this case, it was inspired by the brass spheres that surround the mirrors that are polished to perfection and looking as precious as jewelry.

But that's not the only reason, traditionally such spheric perfection is created by a handcrafted process called lost wax casting, which is a craftsmanship technique specifically used in making jewelry and setting precious stones on precious metals.
In the case of the Gioiello, we wanted to achieve that spheric perfection en masse, and the way we did that is to resort to technology.
At GHIDINI1961, many of the beautiful products that you see, enjoy and use have deep-rooted links to the technologies we developed to create the molds for the creative products we design.
It's one thing to imagine a product but it's a totally different endeavour to make it happen.
The charm and elegance that we flaunt in our furniture, accessories and art pieces are the by-product of the design innovation and craftsmanship excellence that is entrenched in the way we develop and utilize engineering technologies to support our aspirations to bring the imagined pieces to life while maintaining utmost quality and functionality for the products.
In this case with the Gioiello, producing, en masse, the perfect spheres that can traditionally be only handmade and aligning them together to create a collection of versatile frames, without any other need to create new molds or tools for production.

All this is done without compromising the simplicity, elegance and rich appearance of the geometric forms and shapes that reflect and multiply in the mirrors, turning them into surprising and timeless wall companions.
