Introducing the Ghidini1961 space at Salone del Mobile

CONCEPTUAL PROJECT BOOTH GHIDINI1961 Salone del Mobile 2024

Hall 18 – Stand E14

Project by Lucia Valzelli, owner and creative mind of the Dimore studio, founded in Brescia in 2002

The architectural structure of the booth is proposed as a stylized expression of the concept of a large residential villa, with a Modernist style.

Inside it, the new collections of colored marbles proposed by Ghidini1961 and some iconic pieces by the Brazilian designers Campana Brothers, bring the visitor directly to another continent, South America, evoking a famous project by Giò Ponti, Villa Planchart in Caracas.

The Brazilian modernist stylistic mood is reinforced by other important pieces present in the new 2024 collection, whose soft shapes can be traced back to that period by abstraction.

The viewer's gaze enters the exhibition space through large openings, framed by pillars and architraves in natural oak wood. The walls and floor have a totally opaque surface, with clay tones, obtained with ecological materials, composed of very high-quality pigments combined with oils and natural active ingredients. The shades obtained are visibly rich and intense, characterized by chromatic depth and decorative impact. The spectator therefore experiences an immersive experience, characterized by a sensation of well-being, a tactile sensation increased by the presence of panels covered with raw fabric gauze which diffuse a soft, filtered light.

The generously sized central gallery is the heart of the stand and runs along its entire length, offering on display some of the most iconic pieces from the new collection of Ghidini1961 products.

Literally towering in the center of this space is the "Artù" table by award winning designer Paolo Rizzatto. From the same designer, another table model "Merlino" which finds its inspiration in the magical and musical lyricism of the works of a well-known Italian artist, Fausto Melotti.

At the sides of the gallery, there are the lateral rooms that express the different ways of living, which house the furniture collections presented for the first time this year, characterized by refined metal finishes combined with new marbles and fabrics.
