From the end of September until October at CRI, San Francisco a showcase on Ghidini1961's world.
An exhibition-event opened with a special guest, Josh Morenstein of Branch Creative, who talked about the various projects he designed for the contemporary high-end furniture brand. A moment of dialogue with the Californian design community in the hub of CRI, San Francisco, which for more than thirty years has been offering suggestions and ideas for interiors able to arouse emotions. An invitation that Ghidini1961 couldn't miss, to display its mastery of die-cast metalworking.
So, Ghidini1961 hosted a captivating evening at CRI's central Hub in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood. Renowned in the design industry for its leadership and vision as furniture experts and insightful project partners, CRI frequently highlights emerging artists and designers as part of their Design Story Series. During this intimate gathering, their US-based agent, Barbara Hass from Policroma, shared the history and legacy of Ghidini1961. They also showcased Ghidini1961's lighting and furniture collections, designed by local industrial designer Josh Morenstein of Branch Creative. Through his perspective as an industrial designer and his relationship with the Ghidini company, they embarked on an exploration of the brand's heart and soul.
Their distinguished designer guests, specializing in workplace, hospitality, residential, and yacht design, gained unique insights into the creative process and evolution—ranging from small objects to luxury furnishings and lighting—guided by one of the industry's foremost authorities. The exhibition features several finished products, including the Coast Chair, Fabbrica Chair, Dusk Dawn lighting collection, and Helios lighting collection. Additionally, several prototypes and art pieces designed by Josh Morenstein are on display. It was a fitting occasion to enjoy this Design Story Series just a stone's throw from San Francisco's MOMA and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
The exhibition is open for viewing through most of October. For a personal tour, please contact Barbara at Barbara@poli-croma.com or Ai Hamaji, VP of Creative Services, at ahamaji@cri-sf.com
