The past decade was all about living the lifestyle of “experiences”.

Being at home, entertaining at home, and doing staycations was not in the cards for millennials and many Gen Xers.

Homes became transitional spaces where we slept and spent some time with loved ones. We did not invest enough in home design and to some extent overlooked the importance of our home interiors.

The world took us by surprise in March of this year, when we were all undeniably homebound and started to look inwards to see how we can create residences that are safe, beautiful, warm and ready for our new working from home situation.

Many of us were exploring design ideas and interiors inspiration to inject a sense of art into our spaces and make it not only liveable but also inspiring.

With the world constantly talking about an undefined new normal and no concrete projections in the horizon to when we might be able to resume life as we know it, travel again, go back to school or get back to working from our office spaces; our home-based surroundings are becoming more important than ever before; not only because we spend all our time confined but also because our environment plays a huge role in our mental well-being and the way we bounce back into productivity.

Creating a sense of luxury in our spaces has moved up on our needs list.

Now more than ever, we are all over social media getting design inspiration from interior designers, looking for design ideas to upgrade our home interiors and trying to bask in the concept of liveable art.

Our homes will continue to evolve to mirror who we are, the beauty we appreciate, the character that we flaunt, the personality we represent, the love we share with our families and the space we use to find safety and peace.

This is the time for us to reflect on our ambience and revisit how we want it to echo who we are and how we want to be perceived.

Look within, find your inspiration, reimagine your setting, window-shop for the furniture you love, the accessories that inspire, the lighting that will balance your mood and create the space that you deserve.

And whether your liveable art is created of brass, wood or marble, find it, fall in love with it and allow it to inspire you to live life to its fullest, even in quarantine.
