One of our main objectives when we started GHIDINI1961 was to create timeless pieces that will be passed down from one generation to another.
To fulfill this value, we knew that we had to not only create pieces that are ageless by design but also pieces that can brave the harsh test of time.

Whether we create cabinets and tables from top notch woods and marbles or sofas from premium fabrics and leathers, we top all that with a solid base of attention to details with the final handmade touches of burnished metals and top-notch finesse.
Take our Dodo sofa as an example, where the supporting structure on which the seat rests is lowered, the supporting frame brushes the floor without touching it, while the generous height of the seat cushions provides great comfort, giving it incomparable consistency.
The structural base of the Dodo is painted strapped metal and plywood panel and the sofa and armchair castings are made on Italian aluminium, die casted in house Ghidini1961.
The back cushions are created in high grammage wadding internal rubber insert and seat cushions in polyurethane rubber of different densities while the side and back sides are covered in natural cuoio leather, and the back and lateral cushions covered with a quilted goose down in cotton light. We also made sure that the seat and back cushions cover are removable for functionality.
The Dodo is but a small example of how we obsess about every stitch and junction in the architecture of our furniture, after all, the status of a premium and timeless brand is something we want to earn and not just flaunt.
